I love being a part of the healing and growth of people who seek those changes. It's a privilege to do this work with individuals, couples, families and groups, addressing a wide range of concerns. My integrative style blends practical cognitive and behavioral/verbal skills and concepts with research-supported expressive arts processes, breath and mindfulness practices, individualized yoga, emotional management and balance, and the innate power of the natural environment. My clients appreciate learning about how recent brain and mind-body research applies to their concerns, and how sometimes addressing their earlier life experiences can shift difficult current patterns.

I have been a psychotherapist since 1985, in agency and private practice settings. I work most often with stress/anxiety, trauma/PTSD healing. relationship issues, effective communication and conflict resolution. mood disorders, chronic pain management, GLBTQIA and other diversity issues, and growing beyond dysfunctional family histories. My prior experience includes women's health, community education, substance abuse prevention and intervention, group initiatives facilitation, and small business human relations consulting. I'm trained in EMDR and other trauma therapies, am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, an Our Whole Lives (OWL) Dating and Sexuality Curriculum Facilitator, a Prepare/Enrich Couple Therapy Facilitator, and a Subtle Yoga-influenced instructor (RYT 200), and a certified Triple-P parenting consultant.

I work best in a supportive group and am delighted to practice with skilled professionals in a holistically oriented collaborative setting. Since moving here in 1980, I have been an active volunteer and participant in many local community networks and projects and continue to be impressed with the number of caring, dedicated people who are making a positive difference here. I'm rejuvenated by time outdoors hiking, canoeing, gardening and camping, and seek a balance of professional practice, professional education, personal/family/pet time, friends, and play.
